Narrating personal experience

'Click-.' With the sound of switching on the light, I opened my eyes. As half-awake, I looked around and found Mom looking down on me. "What's going on?", I said. "What's going on? You tell me what's going on with your finger!", she said. Surprised, I tried to hide my finger. But it was too late to hide the reddish swollen finger which was almost twice as big as others. I hurt my finger three days ago while I was playing dodge ball with my friends as I put on the ring on my finger. It was a cheap ring that I bought at a small store near school with my friends. I thought I could handle it by myself. I tried soap and oil to get the ring out. Still, I failed and the finger got worse. After all, Mom noticed it at 3 a.m.
"Oh my god...! It's almost black! What should I do?" Mom called 119 in panic. She woke up Dad with trembling hands. I was just surprised that all family members were up at dawn only because of my finger. 'It's just a finger, so don't make a fuss! Although it's swollen now, it will be okay over time,' I thought. Until I heard the ambulance screaming outside, I didn't know how serious everything was. My room was now full of people who were talking about my finger. The firemen had serious expression on their faces, and told my parents that they weren't able to solve the problem. When I finally got on the ambulance for the first time in my life, I realized that something really serious was happening.
We went into the emergency room and people surrounded me. A doctor carefully wrapped my finger and examined it. With a serious face, he talked to other doctors and nurses for around thirty minutes. Dad became impatient. He asked the doctors why they're not treating me right away. The doctor said after a hesitation that the ring seemed to be made of 100% metal and they can't cut it off without hurting the finger. "We have no other choice but to cut the finger," he said. I couldn't believe my ear. 'Am I losing my finger because of ₩1000 ring?' It was too awful to imagine. My parents got enraged at doctors' incompetence and irresponsibility. The room was filled with people's shouts. Dad was angry at how dare they told us to cut the finger of a thirteen-year-old girl. Mom cried out to doctors for some other solutions. The hospital got in a chaotic state. Finally, the doctor told us the last optionㅡcalling a repairman at hospital. I wasn't sure if he could do what all the smart doctors couldn't do. Since there was no other choice, my parents agreed. The repairman appeared with a saw. I was scared, so I closed my eyes. Hearing a buzz, I trembled with fear. "It's done," the repairman said in a quiet voice. My finger was a little swollen but okay. There was neither blood nor cutting. After about three hours, we loosened the tension.
After this experience, I don't hide anything to my parents. I know how much my parents love me and worry about me. Also, I learned another lesson. : Do not buy a cheap ring!
